Iver Johnson is back and better than ever with their new line of 1911 handguns. The 1911A1 models use the same trusted and true 1911 platform developed by Colt in the early 20th century as the basis for this line. Price point, reliability and accuracy are paramount for the users shooting experience. While the 1911A1 model provides the user the ability to own a cost effective 1911, made by a trusted and historic manufacturer, it sacrifices nothing in the way of quality to do so.
The 1911A1 model comes standard with a government sized 5” barrel and is available in either 9mm or .45ACP. The frame has a slightly bevelled magwell for ease of access when reloading and comes equipped with walnut grips that have a diamond-weave pattern for comfort and grip.
All Iver Johnson handguns are made with steel in the Series 70 build. They are made with a forged slide and a cast frame, which are in both instances CNC machined. All models have MIM parts and the slide and frame are hand fitted for a precise fit that leaves nothing in the way of wiggle room. The out of the box accuracy is superb.
The 1911A1 is manufactured by Iver Johnson Arms in Rockledge, Florida.
